The SASSCAL family welcomes its new colleague, Chucknorris Madamombe, who joins SASSCAL as the OADC (Open Access Data Centre) Coordinator in the SASSCAL Regional Secretariat in Windhoek.

Chucknorris will be responsible for managing and providing expert leadership in ensuring that SASSCAL’s OADC stores, processes and disseminate data, information and knowledge, generated through SASSCAL research and as provided in the context of partnerships, as well as other sources. Furthermore, the coordinator will support and promote mutual data exchange with relevant authorities, agencies and organisations.

Prior to joining SASSCAL, Chucknorris worked as an Oracle Forms and Reports Developer at GFI Namibia for over 5 years. Chucknorris has over 8 years of working experience in the Information Technology industry. He brings to SASSCAL a combination of software development, database development as well as business process re-engineering expertise. Chucknorris holds the following qualifications: MSc in Computer Science, BSc (Honours) Computer Science and Masters in Business Administration (MBA). He is currently studying towards a PhD in Computer Science at the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
