SASSCAL Dam and Reservoir Atlas for Southern Africa (DRASA)

The SASSCAL Dam and Reservoir Atlas for southern Africa makes available data and information for around 600 dams in Angola, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa and Zambia.

The Atlas, with the support of an interactive map, provides access to comprehensive and intuitive data and information about dams of the region. For every dam, a downloadable and printable fact sheet including general information on the dam history, dam type, dam specifications, dam management, purpose, economic relevance, dam levels and/or capacity, climate, geology and other relevant thematic information, is provided. The Atlas also provides links to hydrological data, geographic information system (GIS) layers and relevant publications about dams.
