Mr. Shimweefeleni Gottlieb HAMUTWE has joined SASSCAL to support the organization’s multi-million dollar Green Hydrogen project. Hamutwe is the SASSCAL’s Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen Project Technical Expert since January 2023.
He comes to SASSCAL with a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years as an Energy/Environmental Advisor, Energy Technologist/Auditor, Chemist, Mathematician and Economist in the Energy and Sustainable Environment sectors.
Hamutwe specialises in clean and renewable energies transitional development having worked with international and local public and private energy business and development institutions like UNDP and Ministry of Mines and Energy in various management, advisory and technical capacities during which he dealt with investment analysis, market/human/institutional capacity, product development and entrepreneurial mentorship initiatives.
Also, he is passionate about professional expertise development, transforming innovative ideas into entrepreneurial success inventions and knowledge sharing through mentoring in the energy and sustainable development industry.
Before joining SASSCAL, he worked in policy evolvement, strategic management, project development and technical advisory on energy synergies with environment, water, agriculture, climate change, capacity and socio-economic development matters.
He holds an MBA in Energy Technology/Policy/Management and Environmental Management and a B.Sc. in Chemistry/Mathematics. He is also a Certified PRINCE2 Project Manager.
